No matter how faithful love can be…it takes only one moment to change it all.
After Heather Lambert’s parents died in a tragic car accident her senior year of high school, she refuses to let anyone into her heart for fear of being hurt again. Focusing only on school to follow her dreams of becoming an elementary school teacher, the last thing Heather intends to do is fall in love with Josh Hayes.
Josh knows the moment he lays eyes on Heather that she is the one he’s been waiting for. During months of obstacles and denied feelings, he is rejected by her time and time again.
When he finally wins her love, Josh and Heather start planning their future together…until Heather receives one bit of news she never wanted to hear again.
There has been a car accident.
Josh wakes up with no memory of Heather, and his ex-girlfriend, Victoria, is his nurse. Heather must decide if she’ll risk being hurt again and fight for the one man she loves with all her heart.
Will Josh remember Heather when she needs him the most? Or will Victoria take advantage of this opportunity, pushing Heather away from Josh for good?
Faithful is the third book in the Wanted series by Kelly Elliott.
Faithful is Book 3 of the Kelly Elliot Wanted series, and revolves around Heather Lambert and Josh Hayes (which we had been hinted at before, which is why I definitely encourage you to read the prequels as reading this book as a standalone would be extremely confusing). Well, the two are finally a couple, and Josh is so head over heels in love with Heather that he plans on asking her to marry him.
However, the night he plans to propose, Josh has an accident that leads him to loose his memory. He basically falls back into the time when he was in high school, and still a manwhoring arse. In other words, he has no recollection of Heather. And there’s not only Heather waiting by his bedside, but also Victoria, one of Josh’s “acquaintances” from the past, who wants nothing more than to get into Josh’s pants again.
Will Heather be strong enough to fight for him or will she just give up on the one and only person she has in her life? After all, she doesn’t want to talk Josh into loving her, but waiting for him to get his memory back proves to be a painful wait.
Just like most of the Wanted novels, this one was just as fun and entertaining! Of course, the whole thing is 1) a bit predictable and 2) wants to make you roll your eyes at all the blissful romance and baby-making, but really, it’s fiction so you might as well lean back and enjoy it.
The writing gets better and better, and got to a point where editing is not an issue anymore (as opposed to earlier works from the author). In terms of the storyflow, you also never get bored because you will have sneak-peaks here and there into the lives of former (and newer!) characters. In Faithful, we are hinted at Brad and Amanda’s story, which sounds quite interesting as well.
I definitely enjoyed this and recommend it!
