It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt. Then it’s business as usual.

Cole:

I know I’ve fucked up, but I can fix this.

Hailey:

This can’t be fixed.

It always comes down to the same thing for Hailey Dashford Reid. Her family screws up and creates yet another scandal, and she’s dragged into it against her will. All she really wants is to be kept out of all the drama and live a simple life – happy to renege on the family money.

And this money is put to good use when her father decides to hire Horus Group, a company destined to help the Reids cover up their scandals. As a consequence, Hailey gets to spend way too much time up close to Cole Parker, ex Navy-SEAL who has made it his mission to shadow her (and more). The two of them can’t withstand the sexual attraction despite knowing better.

What I loved about this book:

  • Imagine a great and enticingly complex storyline, paired with great characters and an amazing (sexual) chemistry, all condensed into a 1hr read – perfect!

What I felt needed improvement:

  • Nothing! Well… maybe I should mention that the cliffhanger here is killing me!

Hate F*@k: Part Two is the second installment of the Hate F*@k series, and it’s just as exciting as the first part – if not more. Of course, given the fact that this is a 3-part serial novella, you should definitely read Part One to get the context. Again, note that I am not a fan of serial novellas, but Hate F*@k is so much different from all the other novellas because it combines great characters and a good storyline at just the right pace.

Hailey and Cole are still defining they relationship, and the storyline around them unexpectedly heats up as well. The drama that surrounds Hailey’s family is about to be brought to the next level. And while Cole is aware of what’s boiling, he does all he can to shield Hailey from this darkness.

“You’re deep inside me, Hailey. That’s all I know. And this scandal will fade away, replaced by something else. And you’ll still be inside me.”

Again, the characters are just as great as in Part One. Hailey is this beautiful, curvy, and down to earth girl that falls for the bad boy. And Cole is the perfect brooding alpha with a hidden sweet spot anyone would fall for. He ranks high on the book boyfriend list. Of course, the two of them make up for great steamy scenes. The content is very hot and there are quite a few sexy scenes in the grand scheme of this book and its page count, but they thankfully don’t steal the show to the great storyline and great dual-POV writing.

“Is this love? If it is, I fucking hate it. It’s painful and uncomfortable, distracting and not nearly naked enough.”

While Hate F*@k: Part One ended in a light cliffhanger, Hate F*@k: Part Two ends in a killer cliffhanger – you’ll be extremely desperate to get your hands on Part Three, which will hopefully be just as good as its predecessors, if not better!
