He had held a secret that destroyed her world.
Everything she had known was no longer true.
Blaire couldn’t stop loving him but she knew she could never forgive him.
Now, she was back home and learning to live again. Moving on with life… until something happened to send her world spinning once again.
What do you do when the one person you can never trust again is the one that you need to trust so desperately?
You lie, hide, avoid, and pray that your sins never find you out.
Never Too Far is the direct sequel to Fallen too Far, and starts exactly where the prequel left us. Blaire Wynne accidentally finds out that her whole family was built on lies and what’s more, the man she fell in love with, Rush Finlay , knew and kept them from here. It also turns out that he is actually her stepbrother (albeit without any direct bloodlink).
Blaire decides to leave Rosemary Beach, FL and return tot her home state Alabama, where she finds out that she is actually caring Rush’s baby. Rush is coming after her, determined to make her come back to Florida. But what if he finds out about her pregnancy? Blaire is torn between getting back together with him and leaving the man she loves since she doesn’t want her child to live around people who hate her and lied to her, in a family she doesn’t belong…
I re-read this a year after I originally read it for the first time, because I had just read it’s prequel which has recently been released from Rush’s POV. I was happy to find out that even year after, I’d still give it a full 5 stars. Perhaps it’s because I have grown very attached to the characters, which are absolutely loveable.
Blaire is a wonderful person who would never harm anyone intentionally. She’s a good soul who cares for anyone else before actually caring for her. She tries hard to be independent and shove her worries to the side and tries hard not to become dependent (addicted?) to Rush. But it’s time she understands that she has to care for herself too, or let someone else take care of her.
That would be Rush’s cue, a wonderful alpha-male who fell too hard, too fast for Blaire and who is still trying to figure out how she would think he deserves her, as he is himself dealing with issues he will need to overcome in order to make it right with Blaire. Thank god but Blaire and Rush have wonderful friends to support them on the way.
Also, the steamy scenes here are not to be underestimated. Obviously, we’re talking horny pregnant sex. And the Abbi Glines kind is always the best. As is all her writing, a wonderful mixture of steam and feelings in a dual POV.
Anyway, this is another Abbi Glines read I highly recommend – as well as the whole series Too Far and Rosemary Beach.
