I hate him…

I hate that I fell in love with him, I hate that he didn’t love me back, and I hate the fact that I just made a life-altering decision just so I could get the hell away from him.

He’d always said that he was unchangeable, heartless, and cold…

I really should’ve believed him…

Aubrey Everhart, intern at a prestigious Durham law firm, fell in love with cynic partner lawyer Andrew Hamilton, who usually only ever entertains one night stands. But with Aubrey, Andrew cannot help the attraction and be with her time and time again. Even though their relationship is based on lies, their affair goes on, and more often than not, it even goes beyond the regular office intercourse.

Yet, as Aubrey’s hopes soar up, and as she thinks she might be able to break through to him, Andrew pushes her away – for the second and last time. Unable to complete her internship due to the heartbreak, Aubrey resigns and pursues her other dream in New York: becoming a professional ballerina.

But Andrew realises his mistake in pushing Aubrey away and goes after her, even if this means facing his past again, and being open about it to Aubrey so she can understand why he pushed her away in the first place… Will she give him another chance?

Let me start off by saying that Reasonable Doubt is what you call a “serial novella” in the style of The Arrangement, but with much more spice and suspense – and it is highly addictive.

Just like book #1 and #2, book #3 captivated me and got more interesting with every page turn. If you like a more unusual story, and if you like your books hot and steamy, then Unreasonable Doubt will certainly not disappoint you.

The pace of the story was just perfect and the writing was absolutely neat, with the great addition of dual-POVs and flash backs into Andrew’s life 6 years ago. Unlike the previous books, book #3 does not have a cliffhanger. It closes Andrew and Aubrey’s story nicely, but there is a slight hope that there might be a sequel following up on it – even though nothing looks like it has been confirmed yet.

Well, I will definitely stay on the look-out for a sequel to Unreasonable Doubt 3 and I will also check out more works by Whitney Gracia Williams because I absolutely loved and devoured this serial novella here. It was really a breath of fresh air after so many so-so reads I’ve unfortunately come across lately. And the best part is that this serial novella doesn’t even bother me because the pace is fantastic and the price is a bargain. Now if all serial novellas could be like this, it would be bliss!
