Can she overcome her consuming desire for him? Can he make her comfortable with the other C-word... commitment?

Marley Mason is dreading the arrival of the new business consultant. After all, this man will most likely outsource her job to China. The last thing she would expect is a case of mistaken identity, leading to false accusations of kidnapping when she attempts to pick up the wrong man at the airport, or worse... that she would have such a visceral reaction to the right man.

Rick Randy is super sexy, scandalously flirty and perfect masturbation material, but a relationship is out of the question. Rick is contracted on a temporary basis to fix Marley’s ailing company, then pull out, although as he expresses to Marley, pulling out is difficult for him, in more ways than one! Marley’s feelings range from utter confusion to intense contemplation as Rick charms his way into her life. All of those C-words Marley can control, but it’s the other C-word she fears—commitment.

Marley Mason works for a company that she loves, but which is also going through hard times. A consultant was thus hired to help fix the company, and she is supposed to pick him up from the airport. Marley tries her best to make a perfect first impression, but all efforts fail and her meeting with Rick Randy, the guy who holds her job’s fate in his hands, turns out to be a total disaster. And then, Marley is asked to work as his assistant…

However, the underlying sexual tension between the two is thick and it might not bode well at all moving forward…

The book is told entirely in Marley’s point of view. Marley is a complicated and quirky person due to her past, which is slowly uncovered throughout the book. She is that tough smart girl on the outside, but deep inside, she has issues and is afraid of commitment. Rick on the other hand, is that smart, cocky and confident suit-wearing hottie who is constantly challenging her in the best ways. I definitely loved both of the characters an their evolution throughout the book.

The Other C-Word is one of those books that tells a great and intriguing story with lots of different facets and characters. It starts out as some kind of office romance, but it’s much more than just that. And to top it off, it is ex-tre-me-ly funny, and you will be hooked by M.K. Schiller’s humour from front to back. I literally laughed myself through half of the book, to the point I had tears in my eyes. It was simply hilarious and extremely entertaining.

It also held lots of references to music, which I find always gives a great touch to a book, and the cherry on the pie was definitely the anticipation and lust that was building between the two main characters, followed by some extremely steamy scenes that were a joy to read.

To put it in a simple way – this book is in my 2014 favorites and might just make it to my all-time favorites, right next to M.K. Schiller’s book The Do-Over. In other words, I highly recommend it!
