When Cash Mayson was forced to choose between the love of his life and his unborn child, he knew exactly what he had to do. No matter how broken it left him.
When Lilly Donovan was forced to accept that the guy she loved wasn’t who she thought he was and became a single mother, she knew exactly what she had to do. Proving just how strong she was.
What happens when years later you find out that everything you thought you knew was a lie?
Can two people who once loved each other overcome the obstacles that are thrown at them and fall in love all over again?
Cash Mayson had forgotten how it felt to be loved Until Lilly came back into his life. And now that he remembers, he will do everything within his power to keep not only the woman that he loves, but also his children.
The power of love is a beautiful thing.
When he randomly met Lilly Donovan in a coffeshop, player-boy Cash Mayson started to actually believe in the “Mayson-curse”, according to which all Mayson boys find their “one” with a big boom insta-love. The two of them shared a few wonderful months together, and bonded even through a long-distance relationship. However, soon after their first night spent together, Cash hears back from his ex who proudly announces she is carrying his baby. Despite the love and attachment he feels for Lilly, his commitment to family wins him over and he decides to do the rightful, leaving Lilly with a massive heartache and other consequences.
A couple of years later, after his divorce, Cash meets Lilly again. However, he discovers that she is not alone, and her daughter looks suspiciously like his son…
You will have guessed it: while Cash decided to give up the love of his life for his unborn baby and a woman he despised, he actually abandoned another unborn baby… Realization hits both of them hard, especially the realization of having lived a lie for so many years.
Until Lilly is Book #3 in the Until series, and we learn about the lovelife of yet another tattooed Mayson brother – Cash. While I was more or less disappointed by the fact that Book #2 was a total copy of the Book #1, I cannot say the same at all about Until Lilly.
First of all, this is a totally different story. Of course, there’s still that famous Mayson-manwhoring and insta-love situation, but the story takes a completely different turn when the couple breaks up for several years until they reunite thanks to totally random circumstances.
It was interesting to read about their getting back together, about Cash having to make things okay again and seeking redemption. Of course, their blossoming second-chance love is not that easy because the past is never that far away and comes back to bite them.
The story itself is questionable: would Lilly really have kept the baby, and would she really have been able to bond again with Cash after all he’s made her go through? Once they meet again, everything just falls so easily into place, but I do not think that this matters much with this story.
All in all, I felt like Until Lilly was much more in-depth than the 2 first books in the series: the intrigue is much more refined, and the characters much more unique. And while Cash remains a true Mayson-alpha male, he still has a unique personality and rather interesting story, which blends in perfectly with Lilly’s tough-cookie act. The story is, just like the other books in the series, cute, fun and steamy, and this one is probably even more enjoyable than the two last books. Of course, you don’t have to overanalyse it if you really want to enjoy it – and if that’s not what you usually do, I would recommend this read if you are looking for something light.
