3 out of 5 Stars – Nice plot, but it’s the same plot on repeat

When Sophie Grates lost her phone, she never thought that sexy and full-body tattooed Nico Mayson would be the one to return it to her. It’s a total insta-love moment for Nico who does everything to win Sophie over. However, Sophie plays hard to get. Not because she doesn’t fell attracted to him (since she does, a lot) but because she is unexperienced and her pasts is still controlling her.

However, never underestimate the alpha-male character and determination of a Mayson, because Nico is bound to make her his, and to get behind whatever it is that’s bothering Sophie.

Well, let me start by saying that when you look for a kind of romance-is-bliss book with the right amount of fun, steam and alpha male, Aurora Rose Reynold’s Until Series is the perfect thing for you. And Until Nico is not an exception here since I enjoyed it thoroughly.

So why am I giving this book only 3 stars? Because on the whole, the series are just getting redundant. If there’s one advice I can give you, then it would be to NOT read all the Until books in a row. Because the plot is always. The. Same. Need some clarification?

Mayson brother finds girl. Mayson brother is subject to the famous Mayson-curse (none other than an insta-love boom). Girl is super interested in Mayson boy but has issues. Mayson boy is incredibly pushy and alpha male-ish to make girl his. Girl gives in and has unprotected sex (Every. Darn. Time! – because apparently it never gets old). Of course, girl is pregnant. Of course, Mayson boy doesn’t go apeshite like any 20-year-old would – noooo… Mayson boy wants gets hard thinking about girl carrying his offspring. Sometime in between something bad happens, it gets resolved, and cut to the HEA.

And it’s like this in every darn Until… book. Can you believe me when I say that this gets redundant and predictable? Well it’s still a great read with very hot and steamy scenes, but it’s a pain when you feel like you are reading the same story over and over again just with different names and slightly different contexts.

All in all, I will always stick to Aurora Rose Reynolds and will recommend this book, but do need to emphasize the fact that the author should come up with something less predictable amidst a series, and not just with the same storyline put on repeat.
